Well, another fairly thin news week on the Bootleg Release front but the year may end in quite a finale for LED ZEPPELIN collectors. Empress Valley is issuing their "Great Chicago Fire" 9CD+DVD Box...and Tarantura, their "Blueberry Hill" 9CD Deluxe Box Set Christmas weekend and these could seriously impact some Top Ten rankings for 2005. We'll see. If you haven't had a chance to get your own list emailed please do so for the initial publishing of our membership postings for next Monday's column. The compiled lists will take the place of a formal News Column and we hope to also have some initial feedback on these new ZEP sets too.
  
Tamourine Man Records are finishing the year in a BOB DYLAN frenzy with another handful of titles issued this past week..."Euro 2005 Brussels" has the November 1st show from Forest National with bonus tracks...the other 2-disc sets in the series to see the light this week include "Euro 2005 Birmingham" and "Euro 2005 Manchester"...Other DYLAN News..."Down Along The Cove" from Black Dog features the Eugene, Oregon show at Erb Memorial Union Ballroom on June 14th, 1999 with bonus tracks from Madison Square Garden in June of '99 as well...from Thinman comes "Hanging In The Balance", 2CD of the Bad Segeberg, West Germany show on July 14, 1981 with various bonus '81 tracks rounding out the set.
Mainstream is releasing what is said to be a very good sounding CROSBY & NASH audience recording called "Alabama Community" that also features NEIL YOUNG, the show was recorded at The Berkeley Community Center on October 14th, 1971...Darker Than Blue has a new DEEP PURPLE title out called "Autobahn", featuring an excellent stereo soundboard from The Sporthalle in Cologne, Germany on September 25th, 1988 and features the classic re-union MK II line-up of BLACKMORE, GILLAN, GLOVER, LORD & PAICE...Sirene has issued a pair of vintage EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER shows..."Surgery Night In Liverpool" is a 2CD set featuring their performance at The Empire in Liverpool on May 1st, 1974 and "From Benny To Baton Rouge" captures the progressive trio live at Dunkirk Hall on the campus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge on March 1st, 1974.
