October Releases from Tarantura and more...

Welcome to the kickoff Bootleg News Column for October 2007...Leading things off this week is the menu of releases for October from Tarantura, who have 4 titles slated so far (and are yet to be formally named) and they include:  GEORGE HARRISON November 20, 1974 Late Show from Chicago, YES Baton Rouge on December 1, 1974 both previously unreleased sources and likely to be the first titles of the month coming within the next two weeks...and towards the end of October THE ROLLING STONES June 22nd, 1975 Madison Square Garden, New York (w/Guest ERIC CLAPTON) and ERIC CLAPTON Copenhagen April 17, 2004...(displayed at bottom of column are the September 2007 LED ZEPPELIN titles from Tarantara "The Box Of Tricks" (Honolulu 1970) and "Swastika" (Southampton 1973 Multi Track Mix Tapes)...Speaking of the STONES, Dog N Cat Records next title is "The Bigger Bang In Stuttgart" containing an audience tape from the April 6, 2006 German performance with bonus tracks from June 10th Isle Of Wight show.  The SODD Label's trilogy of The Stones' London shows is expected out in the next week and include "1st Night" with the August 21, 2007 performance from the 02 Arena, "2nd Night" contains the August 23rd show and "Last Night" provides the final show of The Bigger Bang Tour from the premier London venue. 

Thin Lizzy Breakout Unidentified Import TitleYes Mike's Mint Virtuoso Label

Announced today out of Japan also are...THIN LIZZY "Breakout" 2CD which contains a previously released stereo soundboard recording of the original line-up captured live at The Tower Theater in Philadelphia on October 20, 1977 issued on an as yet uncredited Import Label...and YES "Mike's Mint" 2CD + Ltd. Bonus DVD-R from the Virtuoso Label that contains the superb Mike Millard audience tape from the Los Angeles Forum  on September 23, 1977 - along with the bonus DVD-R that presents a proshot video from an August 8, 2002 performance at The Tweeter Center in Camden, New Jersey that looks pretty nice.  Also arriving to market this week is the new unlabeled DVD, "THE EAGLES and LINDA RONSTADT Live At The Seattle Kingdome 1976", a proshot affair that contains the complete sets from both artists, here's the tracklisting:

Wonderland Records have their October batch of BOB DYLAN releases already available, pictured below are "Revolution Starts Now" 2CD offers another version of the April 23rd, 2007 show from Paris, "Spring Days" 2CD is the Oslo, Norway show on March 30th, "One More Cup Of Beer" 2CD covers the April 19th show in Dusseldorf, "The Other (Funny) Side Of Bob Dylan" compiles what it describes as 'A Selection of Light-Hearted Lyrics, Toe Tapping Tunes and Occaisional Witticisims - Live Performances 1962-2005'...also included in the batch are "The Pope Smokes Dope" 2CD featuring the Amsterdam show from April 9, 2007 and "The Alternate Live/The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" -which I could have sworn was already released earlier in the year but I must be mistaken.

Finally tonight some loose ends...arriving this weekend in the Japanese shops from MisterClaudel is PAUL McCARTNEY "Complete Promo Clips Vol. 2 1980-1992" 2DVD...out now on the Genius Loci Label are 2 new GUNS N ROSES titles, "Brutal Bigotry Injection" 2CD is the July 21, 2007 at Intex Osaka Hall in Japan and "Give Me Time Ron" 2CD features their Chiba, Japan show from July 15, 2007 and is an Audience/Monitor Mix effort...and another new one on the card for this month is FRANK ZAPPA & THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION "Live From Radio 1968" that pairs 2 shows from Beat Club on October 6th and BBC Studios on October 23rd...and the next 11 BEATLES titles are out from Dr. Ebbet's and feature UK Mono Mixes of: "A Collection Of Beatles Oldies", "A Hard Days Night", "Help", "Beatles For Sale", "Please Please Me", "Rubber Soul", "Revolver", "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band", "The Beatles", "With The Beatles" and "Yellow Submarine".
