Also announced this week and expected to hit the market shortly are 2 new titles from The Rover Label...THE ROLLING STONES "Got To Be Worked On!" is a single disc of upgraded Olympic Studios outtakes from the March/April 1968 Beggar's Banquet Sessions that are said to be of stunning quality, and PINK FLOYD "Celestial Voices" 1CD compiles 3 superb broadcast/soundboard upgrades from The Paradiso in Amsterdam on August 9, 1969 - the BBC recording from the Paris Cinema on Regent Street, London on May 12, 1969 - and from BBC Top Gear complete show tape on June 25th, 1968...these should be a real treat...Empress Valley  continues to roll out LED ZEPPELIN material at a swift pace.  Arriving this week is a supposed upgrade to a fragment of the Headley Grange Studio session outtakes from January/February 1971, focusing on several "Stairway To Heaven" takes showcasing the progression that is capped off with a newly discovered early alternate take of the epic tune...also featured are some Blues Guitar Instrumentals takes 1-3, "Black Dog" takes 1-3, and a "No Quarter" outtake (once again, thanks to the Broken Arrow site for the scan)...Tarantura has produced and presented a second edition version of the ZEP title, "My Brain Hurts" 2CD that contains the bootleg catalog favorite show from Osaka on October 9, 1972 (the notorious "Stand By Me" show) in wonderful quality...while the title is worth seeking out for sure, good luck securing a copy of the strictly limited run...Tarantura's next ZEP title, expected to arrive next week, is "Yardbirds Fame" 1CD that will contain the infamous Gonzaga, Washington tape recorded on December 28, 1968 and includes a replica poster from the show as a premium item...the Cashmere Label has the LED ZEP "Knebworth" DVD on its' release schedule for November...and in related news, Scorpio has announced that their next DVD project is the JIMMY PAGE release, "After Works Vol. 1" and the speculation is that it will compile some post-ZEPPELIN video clips...

...on a final note tonight, I have received a painful update on the Aurora Borealis CROSBY, STILLS, NASH & YOUNG "Sessions" Box Set...there is no hedging on the production here or tap-dancing around the expected release, it's quite simply a production equipment set back compounded by the incredible luck of a series of upgraded tapes arriving at a late juncture which the producers have opted to post-pone the set to accommodate all the new sources that have come to light.  While that alone would have been a minor delay, it's really the bad luck with the upgraded production equipment and the glitches in mastering that has seemingly plagued the progress.  The label maintains their intentions to first issue the NEIL YOUNG DVD project it promised just as soon as the whole equipment matter is resolved and the finishing touches to their projects can be carried out.

That's the week in Bootleg News here at HotWacks On-ine for this time around.  Thanks for stopping by!
