New Jeff Beck, Ozzie and Macca lead the news...
06 Nov 2007

'Tis the period of generic label production it seems...this week, we get the new silver disc effort, JEFF BECK "This Blows"...a 2CD that pairs up a couple of soundboards with the nice show from the Masonic Temple in Detroit which was recorded for the King Biscuit Flower Hour on May 9, 1975 (and available for download at wolfgangsvault.com for $9.95) - plus, the next nights' performance at the Auditorium Theater in Milwaukee on May 10th...the set also has a limited run with a bonus DVD-R of the proshot Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago on July 7th, 2007...Look for a new 3-Disc version of BOB DYLAN "The Genuine Supper Club Soundboards" to arrive as a debut of another No Label effort with another title called "More From The Vaults" that brings together previously unreleased soundboard tapes..New from King Stork Records is OZZIE OSBOURNE "The Unreleased Live At Budokan" 2CD set, which features the March 5th, 1998 stereo soundboard with bonus tracks from the Yokohama Convention Center on February 16, 2002...Arriving soon on DVD from the Picadillly Circus label is the PAUL McCARTNEY proshot, "Complete Electric Proms 2007" which presents yet another version of the BBC proshot video of the Proms Festival at The Roundhouse in London on October 25th, 2007 plus some bonus footage...

...Also new to the scene this week is another PINK FLOYD title from the Sigma Label called "Blindness" that brings one of the Copenhagen audience tapes from November 12, 1970 back around...From Tarantura, a summary of the latest info and we start with the recently issued AC/DC "Electric Shock" 2CD from Tokyo on June 10, 1982 from the audience...the label also has an unusual LED ZEPPELIN release on the way called "Oxygen Destroyer", a 5CD set that pairs the July 28th, 1973 incomplete MSG soundboard with the April 25th, 1977 Louisville audience tape...also on the Tarantura release schedule are a couple of ERIC CLAPTON titles, "Guild" is an ambitious 10CD set and the other is their stab at the Dallas soundboard from November 15th, 1976...Not to be outdone, Mid-Valley has plans for an EC 8CD/1DVD Box that will document his Japan Tour 1990...One other ZEP tidbit from Scorpio...rumor has it that they intend on releasing a 5CD version of the June 23, 1977 Badgeholder's show which will bring together the 2 sources for the infamous concert with guest KEITH MOON...

That's what we rung out of the last week of underground rumblings!  Already November folks and not too early to begin thinking about what your Top Ten titles for the year have been...could there be flurry of candidates yet?  Will the CSNY or SPRINGSTEEN box sets sneak into the 4th Quarter?  Well, with things a bit constipated the last couple of weeks we can only hope one of those ambitious sets shows up to drool over...I will definitely pass along any and all updates as they become available.  Thanks for stopping in and keep an eye on the HotWacks On-line News Ticker...have a great week.
