Rush At Globen 2004 Crystal Cat Label   Rush In Stockholm 2007 Crystal Cat Label

...It's funny how life plays out in mini-themes sometimes, for yours truly it's a RUSH theme for me this holiday weekend as it started off by taking a performance from the latest tour.  It had been 30 years since I saw the trio last and it was fun to tap into a bit of nostalgia even though I was more familiar with their "Snakes & Arrows" release than much of their late 80's and 90's material.  Anyway, as we alluded to last week, Crystal Cat intended on issuing a couple of shows from the Canadian trio along with their BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN titles "Max's Kansas City Night" "Koln Magic Night" and NEIL YOUNG titles ("Le Grand Rex First Evening" and "Le Grand Rex Second Evening" shows from Paris) the label released the 6 titles over the weekend and the two RUSH sets are "At Globen 2004" 3CD set which captures their September 29th, 2004 performance in Stockholm and tacks on 6 bonus tracks from Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis on Valentine's Day 1980, "In Stockholm 2007" 2CD documents their more recent visit to Sweden on October 27th in excellent audience quality (as the majority of CC titles are!), plus four other bonus tracks from that same February 14, 1980 St. Louis show...

I hope all of our members and friends around the U.S. enjoyed their long holiday weekend and while it doesn't really feel like it around these parts, it is now the unofficial start of the Summer season and nobody will enjoy catching some large doses of sun over the coming weeks than me!  Keep checking back through the week for updates and have yourself a good one...
