...Welcome to the 'After Bar' version of the Bootleg News this week here at HotWacks On-line!  Some new titles announced out of Japan over the weekend include a generic Euro release of MICK TAYLOR & FRIENDS "Blues Summit"  2CD which leverages a superb audience tape of the recent performance at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London on May 5th...The Virtuoso Label just shared information on their next YES title, "Living God" 2CD, and appears to capitalize on the streaming audio shared via Vault Radio over www.wolfgangsvault.com and presents the soundboard tape from Veterans Memorial Coliseum in New Haven on December 10, 1974...Scorpio Japan appear to be the issuing label behind the new NEIL YOUNG set, "Too Far Gone" 2CD which delivers the late show from Chicago on November 15, 1976 at The Auditorium in soundboard quality...

...The latest arrivals from Tarantura over the weekend include the strictly limited LED ZEPPELIN package, "Going To California Collector's Edition" 2CD which presents a 'new' twist to the excellent performance and audience recording from the L.A. Forum on September 14, 1971.  The label appears to have perhaps capitalized on a fan-produced remastering project and wrapped it up in a limited worldwide run of 100 numbered copies, but we'll have to confirm that when we are able to listen first-hand...Also from Tarantura is the new ERIC CLAPTON & BAND "Tour 75" Limited Edition 5CD set which pairs up two shows from Tokyo on December 1st & 2nd, 1975...Dog N Cat Records are back in the news with THE ROLLING STONES releases, "Touring Party Vol. 1" containing the June 3rd, 1972 audience tape from Vancouver at the start of the legendary North American Tour 1972...obviously look for a themed rollout of '72 tapes over the Summer the way it looks...I think we've covered that period pretty well already but they wouldn't listen to us anyway...Look for a couple of new DVDs from the Japanese Archive Master Series Label featuring THE WHO "Mission Valley Rock" which repurposes the pretty decent San Diego proshot video from October 26, 1982, issued generically a couple of years ago with mono soundboard audio - perhaps an audio upgrade?  One can always hope.  The other title is the proshot/broadcast footage from THE FIRM's return home to London on December 9, 1984 concluding their first European Tour at The Hammersmith Odeon...the title is called "Joining Forces".

...Coming to market this Friday, June 6th, from The Godfather Records are KISS "Electric Magic" 1CD soundboard, recorded at The Brewery in East Lansing, Michigan on October 21, 1974 in a deluxe cardboard sleeve...THE ROLLING STONES "Welcome To The Voodoo Lounge" 2CD containing the stereo soundboard tape from Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on August 14, 1994, a really solid peformance from the band and GFR tacks on bonus tracks from Johannesburg on February 24, 1995 and also the tour opener in Washington D.C. from August 1st, 1994...not pictured above but available Friday as well are the OASIS title "Dreams Is A Record Machine Demos From 21st Century And More" 1CD compiling an assortment of rarities: 'New Demos', Demos from Don't Believe The Truth, Heathen Chemistry, Noel Solo Demos 1988, the pre-Definitely Maybe demo 'Alive', plus the bonus live track from The Zanzibar Club in Liverpool on May 3, 2003 featuring Noel, Gem and Terry Kirkbride, the set comes with a bonus poster...and BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN & THE E STREET BAND "Something In Those Nights - Magic Tour, 3rd Leg Gems" 3CD is exactly what the title implies, a compilation of various live tracks from the 2008 leg of The Magic Tour sourced from excellent quality audience tapes in a deluxe trifold cardboard sleeve...

...Arriving Friday from Apocalypse Sound on DVD...ROBERT PLANT & STRANGE SENSATION "Listen To This Dragon!" containing the TV Broadcast of their July 12th, 2007 Exit Festival performance in Novi Sad, Serbia plus bonus footage from the Cornbury Music Festival in Charlbury, UK on July 8, 2006 and Caprices Festival in Switzerland on March 12, 2006...QUEEN "Japanese Jewels" is a rare TV Broadcast documentary aired in 2004 that included some incredibly scarce live footage through the years - from 1974-1986...MADONNA "Are You Feeling Satisfaction?" is a TV Broadcast compilation that includes Hard Candy Promo Tour, Mote Park, Kent UK on May 10, 2008, her Live Earth performance from Wembley Stadium on July 7, 2007, Tsunami Aid January 2005, MTV Europe Video Music Awards from Lisbon on November 3, 2005, MTV Video Music Awards New York on March 11, 2003 and The Today Show appearance from Universal Studios in L.A. on April 22, 2003...and IRON MAIDEN "Ed Force One Route To Brazil" presents the TV Broadcast of their 'Somewhere Back In Time World Tour' performance in Porto, Alegre, Brazil on March 5, 2008...

Finally, some clean up notes...Tambourine Man Records has issued 3 new BOB DYLAN titles:  "From Nassau To Mexico" 2CD contains the Mexico City show from Auditorio Naciona on February 27, 2008 with bonus tracks from the same venue on February 26th..."Fullhouse In Buenos Aires" 2CD is the March 15, 2008 audience tape from Estadio Velez Sarsfield in Buenos Aries, Argentina with bonus tracks from Cordoba, Argentina on March 13th...and "Electric Blues Night Crash" 2CD features Bob and band at the Dallas House Of Blues on February 23, 2008 with bonus tracks from the previous night there...Also, the Dr. Ebbett's BEATLES needle drop series has yet another round of releases to mention..."Beatlemania Meet The Beatles" 2CD contains both the mono and stereo Canadian versions of said Album...the rest are "Let It Be" (stereo) and both "A Hard Day's Night" and "Rubber Soul" are apparently corrected reissues...
