Oasis Noel Gets To The Point, Complete - Definitive Edition No Label

...OASIS "Noel Gets To The Point, Complete - Definitive Edition" 3CD/4CDR is a brand new, No Label, Japanese issue of performances recorded at The Point in Dublin, Ireland on December 4th and 5th, 1997 with bonus alternate live tracks, interviews, FM broadcasts, etc on the bonus CDRs- this set is also available in a standard 3CD issue as well...

...The SODD Label will extend outside their typical ROLLING STONES routine to release the LED ZEPPELIN "For Badgeholder's Only" 3CD with the previously available recording of their June 23, 1977 L.A. Forum show - apparently sourced from the excellent 4LP, two volume set...

Led Zeppelin For Badgeholder's Only SODD Label

...and, Tarantura is said to be preparing another YES Limited Edition Box Set, this time the focus will be on the touring year 1977 but no specific street date has been associated with the project just yet...

...a recommendation for you, if you haven't picked up the new WHO "Live In Kilburn 1977" 2DVD that was just officially released in December - GET IT!...This is an absolutely awesome set and captures PETE TOWNSHEND in top physical and playing form, not to mention attitude!...I received this for Christmas and was blown away by the rough, rusty and magnificent footage of this filmed event for the 1978 "The Kids Are Alright" film - which ended up being the second-to-last live performance of KEITH MOON with the band before he past away in 1978...and there is the bonus 1969 performance concert footage as well, very nice to have this in the personal archive...

In site news, it's time to throw lines out again to those who pass through these pages that may have interest in putting their own words and perspectives in writing by reviewing titles they have picked up.  If you are so inclined to contribute whatever level of input to posting reviews, please contact me at sb@hotwacks.com ... we can use the coverage and would welcome the other voice you could lend to the mix!...breadth is what is really needed in 2009...give it some thought and we'll make it happen...

...have you posted your Top 10 yet?...most haven't and I think it's for the very reason that we are still listening through or awaiting some titles that were just issued in the past few weeks and want to give proper consideration to the 2008 titles before locking in on those top selections for the year!..right?...I think I'm close and should get my picks uploaded by this weekend...don't hesitate to share if you are ready though!...let's see some more of those selections and thanks to those that already participated over on the Top 10 page...

...since it is the new year, do you have any suggestions? aside from growing the scope of reviews, number of uploads and continuity, is there anything else you feel the membership of the HotWack On-line community would benefit from seeing?  Again, let me know at the email address above...thank you again for a great 2008 and we look forward to some fine listening and shared banter here at HotWacks On-line in 2009...hey, that rhymes...have a nice week!
