The Rolling Stones American Tour 1972 Box Set Wonderland Records Label

...Pictured above is the latest ROLLING STONES compilation from Wonderland Records simply titled "American Tour 1972", which packages up 10CDs with the cream-of -the-crop tapes and performances from that legendary '72 tour, leveraging both audience and soundboard tapes (much like the Rattlesnake box from years ago)..but the box also contains 2 DVDs to round out the cohesive offering with the notorious 'Cocksucker Blues' film, along with the wonderful rock and roll flick, "Ladies & Gentlemen...The Rolling Stones".  I'm going to get on my soapbox now and completely lambast the Stones and their management for their mis-treatment of their status, importance, and mis-management of their catalog. They have one of the most exciting and tasty backlog of material in the vaults and ALL they do is 'remaster' their official releases every 3 years. What a blatant rip-off to the fans. The only thing they've done right in the last several years is the recent Anniversary Release of "Get Yer Ya Ya's Out", which is awesome - no question about it.  How about more of that treatment at least?  How about working out the legal matters and swallowing some pride to release 'Ladies & Gentlemen...' officially?  What an impossible situation The Stones have become, work it out!  Also, don't 'design' another world tour over the next 6 months either. Don't say anything and show up at some cities and do theater shows and clubs, and quit when you want to. The world tour act is tired. Whew!...he said with a cleansing breath!..what else have we got...The Godfather Records have a batch of new titles arriving to market next week...immediately below we have a re-packaging of THE ROLLING STONES nice Honolulu '73 show called "Methodical Slow-Burn In Honolulu" 1CD features the early show from Honolulu on January 22, 1973 plus a bonus mini-poster for the concert...and, GUNS N' ROSES "Parental Advisory - Explicit Content" 1CD of an excellent audience recording from The Dane County Coliseum in Madison, Wisconsin on December 19, 1987 with bonus tracks from Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul on December 17th, 1987 and Allentown, PA at the Airport Music Hall  on October 17 1987...

...In other bootleg news around the board...some reconciling first, I mentioned the PAUL McCARTNEY "Good Evening Berlin" title from Picadilly Circus last month, but the label has also released a couple of sister releases recently as well.. "Good Evening Holland" 3CD features his December 9, 2009 show at Gelerdome in Arnhem with some interview bonus tracks and more...and "Good Evening Paris" 3CD featuring the show at the Bercy on December 10th with bonus tracks from Shea Stadium on July 18, 2008 in New York with Billy Joel guesting, 51st Annual Grammy Awards in February '09, plus some 'Good Evening Europe' rehearsals...On a BEATLES-related note anyway, the WWII Label has release THE BEATLES Rock Band Mixes CDs for both "Rubber Soul" and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band"..these mixes include the added studio banter that is included around the tracks as intros by GIL MARTIN (George Martin's son) who handled the production of the game soundtracks and videos...

...And that is a wrap for this Wednesday edition of the Bootleg News here at HotWacks On-line.  My apologies for having to push this posting overnight. Anyway..have a great week!
