...It's such slim pickin's this week that I may just have to repeat myself. Just in case you missed my addendum to last weeks' column, Dog N Cat will release THE ROLLING STONES "It's Just A Shot Away" 2CD featuring the December 6, 1969 Altamont performance but it hasn't been fully divulged what recording(s) are being leveraged for this production, shouldn't be too long before we find out though...

Eric Clapton Two Edged Sword Tricone Label

...Showcased this week by simply, default, is the new ERIC CLAPTON 6CD set from Tricone called "Two Edged Sword" which packages up 3 different '87 Japanese Tour recordings. Featured in this new Slowhand multi-disc offering are superb audience recordings transferred from the source tapes of performances at The Budokan on November 2nd & 4th, and Osaka Castle Hall on November 7, 1987...Then, there's a new 5CD package from Neverland Records coming out, "Texas International Pop
Festival" which is the first silver disc release of the August 30th & September 1st, 1969 recordings in one set, if I'm not mistaken. The information doesn't identify what source tapes were used but I'm assuming it's all from audience reels, great tapes. The tracklising is:
