REVIEW: |
All the circulating versions of this show came from the same very good source:
the one chosen was Ten Years After Newport Jazz 1969 (Breakdown 384) because on
the others there were 2 seconds gaps between the tracks. This recording has been
de-clicked, residual micro-gaps between tracks deleted, the sound refocused and
the transitions between tracks reworked. The phases of both channels were
inverted - they’re now rephased. A gap in Plynth at 0’04 has been deleted like
lots of microphone noises in particular after Shapes Of Things. Other bootlegs
where this recording appeared were Humblin’ Gumblin’ (MUCD 004), Like A
Hurricane Plimsoul (OPM 003-4), Return to Newport (Scarecrow 015), Two Festival
1969 (Breakdown 113), Jeff Beck Group & Ten Years After Live 1969
(Leftfield). This recording is quite good, too bad it is too short.
