REVIEW: |
This newly released DVD set presents two Proshot concerts of the great late Bo Diddley, who recently passed away, together with Ronnie Wood after their world Tour which happened just over 20 years ago. The first video comes from the Ritz in
New York and was broadcast live by Westwood One Radio, it came out officially on album and CD, but having been filmed too, is presented here with a good video and stereo soundtrack.
The second show from
Tokyo '88 was recorded for Super Live and broadcast later that summer in
Japan and it presents a much better picture, the show is longer and interspersed with short interviews of Bo and Ron. Both concerts have Bo Diddley's band start, then Bo himself comes in and plays some of his hits, then it is Ron Wood to show up accompanying him; in the middle of the show there is a medley of Faces/solo recordings played only by Wood and then Bo comes back for the grande finale. A nice couple of broadcasts that help celebrate the great man's legacy.
