REVIEW: |
Madrid 1984
is the next soundboard show from Bob Dylan to appear on the market. Despite its
title From the Mountains of Madrid (Razor’s Edge 011) did not feature any
recording from that concert, the only available recording was on Highway 84
cdrs, we had to wait 2021 for this same label to release
Madrid 1984
(Zion 210) from a nice audience tape. This soundboard is, however, a rough one
meaning that lead instruments are not given proper stereo separation,
especially the guitars positioned at the centre, note that track 8 of Disc One has
a better stereo separation allowing to listen to the guitar solos much better,
but that is an audience recording. Apart from that this is a valuable release,
like all the 1984 Dylan soundboards that have recently popped up.
