I'm sure you're aware of the Supper Club soundboards bits and pieces of which have trickled out to collectors over the past 10 years as tracks on bobdylan.com, then a complete show, then more recently two more complete show and a few more tracks from the remaining absent show as And It Ain't In The Seats Of A Supper Club on the Liberator Label                                         (see http://www.hotwacks.com/database/publish/article_2322.php) there were some issues with that release, most noticably the gaps between tracks, but also the stereo channels were the wrong way round in comparison with the earlier Rattlesnake set from 2001 and the volume was pretty low.

These Japanese sets rectify these problems. There are no gaps, the channels are correct and the levels are prefect. This is not a heavy handed remaster,  just a thoughtful and attentive presentation of this material to the highest standard.

If you already got the Liberator set, it's still well worth picking these up. You won't regret it. The listening experience is noticably better and they really have done a great job of presenting this material correctly. It's also nice to have these as a 'set' i.e all the circulating Supper Club soundboard material is contained on these three discs. All three discs are available independently, but really as designed to set together as a set.

Packaging is also very nice - picture discs and tastefully designed covers printed on glossy paper. Each disc is packaged in it's own jewel case. Design is generic, but the labels carry the specific details for each disc.

These really are the definitive Supper Club soundboard releases and an essential addition to any Bob Dylan collection.
