The show was released soon after as Tokyo Night (MIK037/038) released in 1992 on Deep Records from Germany and on The Rock Legends Tour on Mistral Music (MM 9220/9221).  "Devil's Radio", "Isn't It A Pity", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Roll Over Beethoven" appear on Fourth Night Live on Platypus Records (PR-1001 A/B) along with the Nagoya show.  Two tracks, "Old Brown Shoe" and "What Is Life" and a part of "Roll Over Beethoven" were used on the official Live In Japan.  Front Page use an excellent stereo audience DAT recording made by the same one who taped the show on the 14th and they sound virtually indistinguishable.

It is obvious that Harrison gained confidence over the two weeks in Japan, but the band also were jelling and the final shows in Tokyo are very strong.  Live @ Big Egg 3rd Night documents the third of three shows in Tokyo, is the last of the tour.  Maybe they were celebrating the end of their tour and were full of Christmas cheer, but whatever the case is everything works on this night.  Eric Clapton's set is noteworthy, where "Badge" and especially "Wonderful Tonight" is simply sublime.  There is a strange intro to "Cloud 9" that I can't make out, sounds like someone growling into the microphone from the stage.  It is compounded further with the taper testing his mic too. 

"My Sweet Lord" is played slower than on other dates.  The highlight is the second encore "Roll Over Beethoven" where the band are joined by George Harrison's son Dhani and future fashion photographer Nick Roylance on guitars.  (Roylance would be the camera operator more than a decade after this for the Concert For George.)  They don't make their presence felt too much but it is a nice touch and the label used four photos of the event for the artwork.   At the end Harrison thanks Clapton for dragging him on tour.  Front Page released most of the tour and sometimes these shows sound interchangable but the performance on this night really stands out and is pure magic.  If you want only one document from this tour it should be this one.
