REVIEW: |
BMW seems to determined to release every Harrison show from the 1974 tour that they can get their hands on no matter how lousy the recording. Dropping the disc in the player - I thought I mistakenly put in the wrong one as it didnt' sound anything like George. After some time I did realize it was "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" playing. George would weep if he new this monster was out. I suppose the ultimate fan could get something out of this if they really felt the need to hear every show. For the rest of us the best we could do with it would be a couple new coasters. It's hard to rate the performance on something that sounds so lousy so I'm just gonna leave it at a "6" until I hear better. For when you HAVE TO have them all only! I realize too that with a little editing of intermission clapping they could have at least reduced this farce to one disc (but that would mean only one coaster - then again I'll drink alone). Which, in fact, distinguishes them more as crooks on this one rather that a label which is just trying to supply fans with every possible concert recording. |
