Iron Maiden quit touring last year but soon returned to the road for just festival and outdoor dates this last summer. The band decided to tour with a vintage set with fitting setlist. Consisting of the first 4 classic albums. This results in an amazing performance that was digitally broadcasted complete on Swedish TV. Shot in widescreen with Dolby Digital Surround Sound (unfortunately available here in 2.0) the complete performance looks like an official release. It couldn´t be transferred better to DVD by Penguin DVD, whoever they are! They did an excellent job as it´s a stunning overall title. The only thing is that the DVD has no menus but, you can skip easily from song to song. Can easily do without the menus when the content and quality of the DVD is as stunning as this title.
No official release is planned of this tour since the band is about to release the Death On The Road 2004 show from Dortmund on DVD early 2006. So be sure to get this one. Performance wise but also cinematographic it´s an overall better concert than the little flawed Rock Am Ring Performance that was broadcast -incomplete- (missing 2 tracks) on German WDR TV.
