This is new
version of Part Ten of the series of rare recordings of Mick Taylor with the
Jack Bruce Band in Europe from 1975. The line-up was: Mick Taylor on guitar, Jack
Bruce on vocals and bass, Carla Bley on organ, synthesizer, electric piano and
mellotron, Ronnie Leahy on electric piano, synthesizer and Bruce Gary on drums.
The original tapes ran at irregular speed, mostly much too fast: so they have
been decelerated by - 6%, then a little treble was added and the sound
amplified (without adding more saturation as there already was some). This
recording is, however, for collectors and completists. The beginnings/ends of each
disc have been reworked with fade ins/outs.
The quality
on Disc Two was worse with regards to Disc One, the tracks needed more sound
amplification and there were gaps on some of them, the biggest ones were on You
Burned The Tables On Me at 7’52, Smiles And Grins at 13’16 and 19’58 and 23’52
(cut in 4 segments) and before the encore. The gaps have been deleted trying to
make the listening experience less raw by adding fade-ins/outs. The first
version for this show was posted in March 2017.
New
information:
Maidenlane
discovered defaults on Smiles And Grins: the 4 segments previously reconnected
were in fact repetitions. The track is now restored at 12.45.
The whole
recording has been reworked by de-clicking it, rebalancing the channels (20 to
30% for the left channel) and adjusting the phase... anyway despite the progress
it remains a recording for die-hard fans.
