REVIEW:

This release presents not only Jagger s recent tv appearance but other fellow Stones (and former Stones) as well. It starts with Saturday Night Live show from 19 May where Jagger presented, acted and sung too. Going again through the whole show the Politics Nation skit caught my attention, in it a guy jokes about current economics using the words Doom and Gloom, is this where Mick got inspiration for the latest Stones single lyrics? Anyway apart from comedy sketches we get musical performances with Arcade Fire and then a medley of 19th Nervous Breakdown and It s Only Rock n Roll with Foo Fighetrs (these songs seem to be a bit overworked with too many musicians on stage) and a blues song performed with Jeff Beck and his band, this is an unreleased track that should be titled Tea Party. She s A Rainbow and Ruby Tuesday close the show performed by Arcade Fire and the Saturday Night Live House Band. This show is in exceptional clear quality due to high definition recording and blue ray technology. If you want to just watch the Jagger main segments there is a shortened version right after; but then there is a short Jagger interview about SNL and 2 different TV Ads for the show.  Next is the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame 2012 Induction for the Small Faces and Faces with Ron Wood and friends talking and playing, he also is a guests of Red Hot Chilli Peppers with Slash. Jimmy Fallon with his show ends this disc with two different episodes: the first one with Mick Taylor playing brief excerpts with the House Band amid boring Howard Stern monologue. But right after this there is a warm up full version of Can t You Hear Me Knocking, shot in Standard Definition but still good to see (first time available on a bootleg) it lasts slightly over 6 minutes. Then we get another version of the same song (incomplete, fades out) from one show Taylor gave in the Iridium Jazz Club in mid May; though shot in High Definition this is the only audience part of the disc, it is definitely from one of the shows streamed live by Iridium with Les Paul Band as we can see bass player Nicky Parrott but seems to be shot from the audience since many members of the attending crowd pass in front of the camera. Finally it is Charlie Watts boogie band to be featured on Jimmy Fallon s show at the end of June with one track played live (here Ben Waters, the B of ABCD   was not present since he had to go to Canada for problems with his VISA, replaced on piano by   Bob Seeley). This is a great release with excellent footage.
