REVIEW:

A sound that immediately transports us back to the London Punk-scene in the late 70's, with contemporary sound & production.  It just all adds up that The Clash's Mick Jones has taken The Libertines under his wing and Produces the quartet.  That makes it perfect material for Snotty Snail, since the label is usually devoted to Clash material exclusively.

The Good Old Days is a highly recommended double-disc consisting of the best broadcast document from the band.  The only detractor here is the redundancy factor.  By the third version of "The Boys In The Band", you are ready to change the CD.  It shouldn't be understated, these are superb sounding shows and the deluxe fold-out cover is an a great addition to the listening experience.  It would have been nice to have more info or background on the recordings that comprise the title but these interview articles are also interesting.

The discs themselves look like commercial CD's with Disc One being labeled as "The Vertigos" and Disc 2, "The Maydays".  All in all great stuff with plenty of energy eminating from the discs.

The best toys are the ones that are both educational and multi-purposeful.
