REVIEW:

There are 4 parts in this disc: part 1: this recording has circulated in several forms but only this version was lossless and in addition it contains a 2nd source for the last 2 tracks that shows that required the speed to be decelerated by -4%.

They were fade ins/outs between the first tracks, however the gaps have been upgraded and some noises deleted. Note that the end of Knockers Step Forward is altered and the track ends with a fade out.

The line-up here was: Mick Taylor on guitar, John Mayall on vocals, organ, piano, harmonica and guitar, Keith Tillman on bass, Keef Hartley on drums, Chris Mercer on tenor sax, Dick Heckstall-Smith on baritone sax .

Concerning part 2, here John Mayall just plays harmonica and sings, the track was merged as there were two versions, one coming directly from the INA archives which also includes the short French intro by Pierrre Lattès and the first second of the extract.

Part 3 has as special guest Al Sykes on drums on one or more songs. Mick Taylor is rumored to have handed his guitar temporarily over to Jimi Hendrix at this gig, but not on this track. A one channel gap at 0.56 has been corrected and a default and micro-gap at 10.47 were deleted. As for the bonus, t hese two tracks were at the end of the main version; they are also partial and damaged but some parts are interesting. The first one, Rising Sun, has been rebuilt as there were lots of alterations, the better parts have been reconnected; the second track Knockers Step Forward had also the end altered. Anyway the San Francisco recording is remarkably good for its age.

The best toys are the ones that are both educational and multi-purposeful.
