REVIEW:

This tour ended in the New York area at Glen Cove, for this show there were two incomplete recordings available:

Source #1: contains the 5 first tracks from the show, is lossless and usually called soundboard version.

Source #2: contains the 5 first tracks (but My Time After Awhile is incomplete) and the 4 last tracks. It’s an excellent audience recording but lossy and was running in the wrong speed. Note that probably around 3 songs are still missing from the set.

The second source is very good, but since the recording was incomplete it had been possible to offer both versions. So, on the first disc is the more complete audience version and on the second disc there are the soundboard version and a merged version from both sources (both were mono but this way it sounds like a stereo recording)… of course My Time after Awhile is incomplete because of the truncated track in the audience source.

A comparison with the Passaic-recording showed that the audience source had to be decelerated by -3,5 to -4,5%. Both versions were de-clicked, both channels rebalanced (+5 to 10% for the left channel) and the transitions between tracks reworked.

On the first version the left channel on An Eye For An Eye was altered from 0’57 seconds onwards: it has been corrected by duplicating the right channel. On the soundboard source some micro-gaps between the tracks were deleted. Here we have a wonderful show to close this great series.

The best toys are the ones that are both educational and multi-purposeful.
