REVIEW: |
The little band from Washington State that is getting much acclaim these days with a couple of 2004 Grammy Nominations. They have come a long way since this performance was filmed!
Here, we have a superb document of a laid-back performance from Atlanta in 2001. Upstart Indy Boot Label Damage, Inc. has provided a single camera Pro-shot document that is accompanied by an outstanding stereo soundboard line feed that has been manipulated for DVD into 5.1 Audio Channel.
If you are a fan, you should seek this one out! The picture is crystal clear and the sound is fantastic. The only downside is the fact that it is just a single camera video. Our camerperson is positioned in the back of the theater, just right of center shooting over the crowd. It gets a little mundane watching this thing simply zoom in and out, pan right/left. Other than that, Damage, Inc. has a winner in acquiring the master source tape for this production and again, the excellent audio. Now if they can lift the bar on the artwork for their titles, that would add that little extra value and "collectability" as this is somewhat low-grade in materials and layout with the insert art - though photos from the gig are utilized. But, it's really what is provided inside that is of real concern and this Picture DVD-R Disc quite excellent. |
