REVIEW: |
Yet m
ore rehearsal for the New Barbarians on Volume 3, this
time from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, taken
from cd 4 of Barb Wired Tour Vol. 2 (EVSD
206). This recording has been de-clicked and the transitions between tracks/sequences
slightly reworked.
Note:
'Hello Africa' was written by Eddy Grant and incorporates motifs from the
instrumental Skokiaan (composer: August Musarurwa).; it was released officially
(with the title 'Africa') in April 2016. Due to the length of this session, it was
decided to add here the Hotel Room session, whose date and location are unsure.
The Los Angeles hotel jam line-up featured Ron Wood on guitar, Bobby Keys on sax
and Keith Richards on keyboards and consists of some reggae instrumentals. This
is another nice sounding release, despite is length, really enjoyable.
