REVIEW: |
The footage here is very good considering it’s 47 years old and sources. Elvis fans will love it. Non-Elvis fans should get it to see how Rock ‘n’ Roll got its start. Yah, I know there was Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly and others there at the begining but this is the man that set the standard. He was attitude as much as he was music. He had the look and he had the sound that opened the door. And, after the door was opened, there was no turning back. There will never be another Elvis or another Beatles. Today’s ‘music’ is calculated product. Elvis was the real thing. |
