This new set
from WLR presents Stones studio outtakes offering the usual batch of different versions
and including alternate versions of Summer Romance, Send It To Me, She’s So
Cold and Down In The Hole; we also get Emotional Rescue and then a bunch of well-known
outtakes: Let’s Go Steady, I Think I’m Going Mad, Claudine and a nice version of
Where The Boys The weird thing about this release is the presence of outtakes
coming from sessions that have nothing to do with Emotional Rescue like the
1978 RCA sessions. Packaging is nice with good looking color platters, but this
time pressing does not seem to be great as there are plenty of problems with
places where the needle gets stuck.
