REVIEW: |
The Velvet Underground 1993 reunion was a mixed bag affair with Cale & Reed and there long troubled relationship with one another. This is the VERY first soundboard source to come out of this short tour. The KTS label (R.I.P.) put out an excellent audience recording in the mid-nineties called "Take A Trip" from Rotterdam June 9th, 1993. And of course the "legit" CD set and DVD. Sound is excellent thoughout and sounds to be from a cassette master. This is also the first public performance of "Coyote". This is as good as this reunion ever got and let's be grateful that Sterling Morrison got to do it before his death just over 2 years later on August 30th, 1995. If your a Velvet's fan get this at all costs.
