See my review of the Bondage’s Memories Of Deep Purple which covered the previous night’s Whitesnake gig in Leipzig. The setlist for both shows was virtually identical save a pair of a cappella interludes David Coverdale performed in the 14^th, and Memories is far and above the superior recording. In fact, Burn… is ridden with tinniness, annoying distortion and a generally distant feel – what was the point in releasing the Berlin show if a better tape couldn’t be located? Pick up Memories and avoid this one. -- OSWALD
