REVIEW: |
Here is Volume 6 of this series featuring Don Covay, the idea for this
volume was to compile the musical content from several videos: a videographer
partner helped a lot in carrying out this first work, then his compilation was
reworked.
Doing a test mix with an older version of the Woody's On The Beach series
(Volume 11), it was discovered that the recordings complemented each other very
well giving a stereo effect and separating the instruments.
Unfortunately, that old
recording was incomplete, however here are the result of this compilation.
However, this recording presents an exceptional rhythm n blues concert with the
great Don Covay truly involving the audience with a starry performance.
All the
recordings have been de-clicked, amplified, slightly phase adjusted and some
mic defaults corrected or attenuated.
For the
merges the work happened on short segments (30 seconds) which were then
synchronized using the new videos sources as reference.
