REVIEW:

Volume six of this series bring us again to New York for the tribute to Jimmy Reed held at the Cutting Room. The line-up was: Mick Taylor on guitar and backing vocals, Ron Wood on guitar, vocals and harmonica, Stu Woods on upright bass, Simon Kirke on drums, Wilbur Bascomb on bass and Al Kooper on keyboards but not all songs with special guest Gary Clark Jr. on guitar and vocals on Shame, Shame, Shame and High and Lonesome. Generally this recording is a mono one, except for the merged versions were the stereo effect is evident.

Big Boss Man is a merged version from 0’14 to the last 6 last seconds, Baby What You Want Me To Do merged version too with exception of the 48 first and 25 last seconds, Blue Carnegie merged version,

I’m Mr. Luck is a partially merged version that starts at 4’54 and ends at 6’27. Shame, Shame, Shame is a merged version starting at 16 seconds, High and Lonesome too is a merged version , Honest I Do is a partially merged version extract, from 2’43 until 3’49, using Mick Taylor solo coming from a different source. Ain’t That Lovin’ You Baby is just a snippet; this is the only extract from this song! The track that previously circulated for this show was in fact coming from the 7 November show.

About I’m The Man Down There: if this song was played then we have no evidence of it and the usual track that circulates is from 7 November.
