REVIEW: |
This is a
new release but its content has already been around: the first concert comes
from Detroit
and presents the concert from late July 69 at the Grande Ballroom. This show
was released on Hangman (Scarecrow 018). This was most likely the last concert
of this line up of the Jeff Beck Group featuring Rod Stewart and Ron Wood
together with Tony Newman on drums.
The second
show lasts just 20 minutes and was released on The Oldest Lost Tape (Scarecrow
010). The performance is excellent, the recording acceptable even if at times
on the verge of saturation. This release is a nice one, packaging is alright
but for the gross mistake in the title (Primsoul instead of Plimsoul), however
nothing new here.
