This very cool double cdr set documents one of two back-to-back appearances by Mick Taylor on stage with the boys in 1981. The sound is decent, with Jagger’s voice up front. Interestingly, the set list is heavy on post-Taylor work. On the down side, Taylor was playing through his own amp and therefore is not as present as one would hope. But still, if you listen close, you can hear Taylor, Ronnie, & Keith mesh like a machine, and Charlie and Bill propel the whole beautiful mess forward. Highlights include a bitter and mocking “She’s So Cold,” a blast from the past in the form of “Twenty Flight Rock,” and an almost hardcore “Neighbors.” This title was supposedly available on silver in Japan, but after a ton of research and phone calls, this cdr version was the only one I could find, and I suggest you find it too! I would rank it was the best ’81 show I’ve ever heard!
