REVIEW:

Some months ago Cpt. Acid offered its project number 100 with Liver Than You’ll Ever Be, one of the most famous bootlegs ever, now Empress Valley has reproduced the job marketing it as if it has been their mutual decision to publish it, instead of just taking advantage of that. From the original upload notes: “The basic work was done on the Tarantura version (TCDRS 1-1,2) with phase & level correction and new equalization.

Disc One presents the most definitive version of the early show, completed from genuine 1st generation analogue copies. Recorded by the legendary Dub and Ken TMOQ team, this show - due to some problems with electricity near the start - was released several years after its succeeder, immortalized on a single vinyl bootleg titled Liver Than You'll Ever Be. There is some distortion throughout due to the age of these tapes, of which most notable are the ones near the end of Jumping Jack Flash and some time after such song. The band changed the setlist a little bit and played its acoustic set just right after the first song, due to mentioned issues. Gimme Shelter was dropped out from setlist.

On Disc Two we find the most definitive version of the late show, completed from genuine 1st generation analogue copies. Recorded by legendary Dub and Ken TMOQ team too, this show was immortalized on a single vinyl bootleg titled Liver Than You'll Ever Be, that was released just few weeks after the show. Part of the beginning announcements and the start of Under My Thumb weren't captured (as they have been omitted on the original vinyl bootleg) and both are taken from November 8th, 1969 Los Angeles and Oakland November 9th, 1969 1st show in order to complete this version. No serious distortion occurred here and the band played a regular setlist here.”
