REVIEW:

The Stones visit in Largo during the 1981 Tour happened on 3 days, the second of which on 8th of December is the subject of this release; the audience recording of this concert came out on tape as Largo 81 (Capitol Center Arena vol.2), then on a cdr called If You’re Hot Why Not (a sentence Jagger says before She’s So Cold) and on Largo 81 (Capital Center Arena Part 2) and on She’s So Cold and Largo Capitol Center 1981. One song was released in 1984 as soundboard stereo, Let Me Go on Ride Like The Wind (RSSG 6012-4299) a 2 LP set that featured that song, the same track came out on cd on Going A Go Go (STCD 1042) and also (though with overdubs) on the official live album Still Life. The full concert came out already as soundboard mono on Capitol Connection Vol.2 (DAC 037) as well as on a 6 cdr set called Rock’ n’ Roll Addiction (Pignose PGN 121) that featured all the Largo shows and as part of American Tour 1981 Part 2 (WLR 2192) 14 discs box. Later it was released on Light As A Feather (DAC 155) which had the stereo soundboard and it was a great upgrade on what was available before. The sound is crisp and clear although there were some unwanted noises through Beast Of Burden (right channel) and Waiting On A Friend (left channel). The band played very well as in the last part of the 1981 US Tour, the guitar driven sound having all the grip Stones fans want. This version from IACD has nice artwork with track listing photos on the inside, the front cover is a bit dull though. Packaging is unique because besides the   front and back covers we get he OBI which is not restricted to the usual spine cardboard edge part, but a full cardboard back cover with titles in Japanese as well as in English and on the inner side we also can see other IACD releases advertised.
