REVIEW: |
Volume thirteen of this series is the show in Evergreen Park, of this show there
were 2 versions of a good recording and the one selected is the best sounding
one. As usual the tracks have been de-clicked, channels rebalanced (+10% - +20%
to the left channel) and speed corrected (accelerated by +3%).
In detail: on
Sweet Little Angel from 12’13 onwards the left
channel duplicated was used to patch the missing of the right channel, on Good
Lovin' the same here: until 1’32, I used a patch from the left channel
duplicated to compensate the missing of the right channel; the Unidentified Piano
Instrumental is incomplete, ends with a fade out, while Mama Lion starts with a
fade in. About the BONUS: Mama Lion (merged)
o
n the left channel there is Track 8 and on
the right channel the reworked (and not saturated) version.
There were a lot of
variations in speed and the work had to be accomplished in small 15 second
extracts; despite this, the sound wanders from one side to the other but this
version also allows to better appreciate Roger Troy's vocals and the
performance of Mick 'Magic' Taylor (as Roger Troy says in the first band
introduction) is impressive. Just unnoticed is Love Me Or I’ll Kill You right at
the end of Your Friends. |
